Custom web design & development
Custom web design in Amsterdam, in your language
Amsterdam runs on English. Most of the web studios here do not. We design and hand-code custom websites in English and Spanish for founders, freelancers and small companies who want a site that works as hard as they do.
What a custom website includes
- A design made for your business — never a template with your logo pasted on top
- Hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript: fast, light and fully yours
- Mobile-first, because two thirds of your visitors will never see a desktop version
- Technical SEO built in — clean headings, schema markup, meta data, sitemap, Search Console
- Contact forms and WhatsApp lead capture wired into Google Analytics
- Cookie-light analytics and a GDPR-sensible setup
- Domain, hosting and DNS handled for you
- Two rounds of revisions, and training so you can edit text yourself
Who this is for
- Founders in Amsterdam whose business language is English, not Dutch
- Spanish-speaking businesses trading in the Netherlands or the wider EU
- Freelancers and consultants who need one credible page, not a twelve-page brochure
- Companies stuck on a rented builder who want to own their site again
- Anyone whose current website was built by a cousin in 2019 and has not been touched since
Why hand-coded still wins in 2026
A drag-and-drop builder gives you a site in an afternoon and a problem for years. The page ships with megabytes of code you never asked for, your Core Web Vitals suffer, and the moment you stop paying the monthly fee the site disappears.
Hand-coded pages load in well under a second, score at the top of Lighthouse, and keep working whether or not you are still our client. Google has been explicit for years that page experience and speed feed into ranking, and on mobile connections the difference is not subtle.
It also means the structure can be shaped around search intent rather than around whatever the template author had in mind — which is the single biggest reason most small-business sites never rank.
What it costs
Landing pages from €350. Full business websites from €1,750 depending on how many pages and how much content we write for you.

- AI product photography
- Multi-language storefronts
- Abandoned-cart flows

Process
How a web design project runs, step by step
Discovery call
Thirty minutes on what the business does, who you want to reach and what “working” would look like six months from now.
Structure and copy
We map the pages and the search terms each one should own, then draft the copy. This is the step that decides whether you get found.
Design in the browser
No flat mockups. You see real, clickable pages on your phone, and we iterate from there.
Launch and handover
Domain, hosting, analytics, Search Console, sitemap submitted. Then a walkthrough so you can edit your own text.
Proof
A shopfront on Leidsestraat, and one online
Baan Sabai is a Thai foot-massage studio in one of the busiest streets in Amsterdam. Bilingual site, every price published, online booking that takes appointments after closing time. Built the way this page describes.
“They built exactly the website our business needed — clear, fast, and it brings us new enquiries every week instead of sitting there looking pretty.”
